Turning Home into a City of Encounters
前言
“ 爸爸，我們明天早上要去哪裡?“
“Dad, where are we going tomorrow morning?”
“ 明天早上九點，我們在櫞廊集合。“
“At nine. Let’s meet at the veranda.”

來自兩個女兒帶著一點點對世界的好奇心。
對她們而言，每一天的生活，都像是一場即將出發的旅行。對父母來說，這樣的提問慢慢成為一種提醒，家不僅是停留的地方，更是陪伴孩子成長的過程…
The story begins with two daughters asking, one after the other their voices full of anticipation and curiosity.
To them, every day is a new journey. To their parents, it becomes a gentle reminder: home is not just where we stay, but where we grow together.

設計議題｜在制式的空間裡，設計如何改變，父母如何陪伴，孩子如何探索？
兩個不同個性的女兒，如何擁有各自的世界，同時又在生活的某個時刻，自然地走向彼此？
你在你的角落，我在我的世界， 但我的世界有你，你的角落有我。
How can two daughters, each with their own world, still find their way to each other in everyday life?You in your corner, I in my world yet we are always part of each other’s.

Every distance becomes an extension of relationships; every movement, a moment of everyday encounter.“Gather” bringing scattered elements together. “Harmony” the balance found in what feels just right.

每一段距離，都是關係的延伸；每一次移動，都是一次日常的相遇。
集- 把散開的事物聚集在一起，和- 恰到好處的常道
Every distance becomes an extension of relationships; every movement, a moment of everyday encounter.

本案以「城市」作為概念，將家的每一個空間，轉譯為可以被探索、被停留、也被相遇的節點。
不同於傳統以區域劃分，我們刻意弱化界線，讓空間之間保有連續。
客廳、餐廳、廊道與房間，不是獨立的單元，而如同街道與廣場般，彼此串聯、相互延伸。
This project uses the idea of a “city” as its metaphor, shaping each space as a node for exploration, pause, and encounter.Boundaries are softened to create continuity,
allowing living, dining, and circulation spaces to connect and flow like streets and plazas.

01設計巧思｜開放街道
打破傳統空間的明確分界，以開放式街道意象布局串聯客廳、餐廳與廊道，
視線得以穿透如同行走在街道之中，孩子在移動之中探索空間，而家人也在這樣的相處中自然產生交會、集合。
By dissolving rigid boundaries, an open layout connects the living, dining, and circulation spaces, allowing movement to flow like a street.
Sightlines remain open and movement continuous children explore through motion,
while everyday encounters naturally unfold among family members.
02設計巧思｜城市輪廓
透過塊體的半開放、留白與介面轉換，讓「建築物」之間保有不完全切割的狀態。
沒有明確的隔閡，卻仍能界定各自的使用情境， 使兩個女兒能擁有各種城市的角落，

03設計巧思｜動線設計：讓日常相遇
透過路徑的交錯與節點的安排，讓每一次移動，
都有機會成為相遇的瞬間在轉角、餐桌旁、光線落下的地方。
Through intersecting paths and carefully placed nodes, every movement becomes a potential moment of encounter at a corner, by the dining table, or where the light falls.
04設計巧思｜城市引光
回應原始場域的採光限制，透過開口配置、材質反射，將自然光引入空間深處。
光成了生活的時間軸，讓孩子在光影之中，感知一天的流動。
Responding to limited natural light, openings, reflective materials, and voids are used to draw daylight deep into the space.
Light becomes a timeline of daily life, allowing children to sense the passage of time through shifting light and shadow.

01空間巧思｜城市廣場-公領域
客廳與餐廳以廣場方式串聯，消弭傳統隔間所帶來的界線，讓視線與動線能夠自由穿透。
從沙發、地毯到餐桌的延伸，像城市中的主要街道，連接不同場域，也串起家人之間的互動。
The living and dining areas are seamlessly connected, dissolving traditional boundaries to allow both sightlines and movement to flow freely.From the sofa and rug to the dining table, a continuous living axis emerges like a main street, linking spaces and weaving together everyday family interactions.
02空間巧思｜城市收藏場
以開放層架作為主要的展示介面，取代封閉式收納，使物件成為空間的一部分。
書籍、器物與日常收藏，不被隱藏，在男主人視線之中成為城市中的收藏室。
Open shelving replaces closed storage, turning objects into part of the spatial expression.
Books, artifacts, and personal collections are not concealed, but remain in view forming a lived landscape that reflects the owner’s identity.

小孩房建立姊妹之間的「秘密通道」兩個床位之間刻意設計為可相互連通的關係，打破傳統「各自獨立」的配置方式。對孩子而言，是一條屬於她們的秘密通道，在自己的世界裡延伸，也能隨時走向彼此。
The two beds are intentionally connected, breaking away from the conventional separation of individual spaces.
For the children, it becomes a secret passage an extension of their own worlds, while always leading them back to each other.
透過窗戶的開口設計，讓城市遊樂場與城市收藏場互相串連，孩子在房間內，仍能看見男主人的工作室。在彼此看得見的距離裡，陪伴不需要靠近，也從未離開。
A carefully placed window allows them to see into their father’s workspace, maintaining a visual connection across spaces.Within a distance where they can still see one another, presence does not require proximity—yet it is never absent.

04空間巧思｜地下密道
小孩的地下密道，像是一座隱藏於城市之下的秘密基地，提供孩子自由探索與躲貓貓的空間；連接其間的樓梯是一個可以停留與觀看的節點。透過天花板的玻璃開口，視線得以穿越上下層之間的界線，使孩子在不同高度中，仍能看見日常活動，餐桌上的交流、客廳裡的互動以及家人的存在。孩子既能擁有自己的世界，也始終與家庭保持關係，從不同的視角，看見整個家的運作。
he children’s sunken area becomes a hidden base beneath the home a place for exploration and immersion.
The connecting stair is no longer just circulation, but a point to pause and observe.
Through a glass opening in the ceiling, sightlines extend across levels, allowing children to witness daily life in the shared spaces conversations at the dining table, interactions in the living room, and the presence of family.
Within this layered distance, connection is maintained giving children a world of their own, while staying rooted in the life of the home.

設計巧思｜城市瞭望塔
女主人工作室透過樓中樓的設計，成為空間中的視覺中心。
視線可以延伸至城市廣場，在專注工作的同時，能感知家中的日常互動。
抬高的設計讓空間保有適度獨立，卻不與生活切斷，形成一種既分離又連續的關係。
如同一處制高點能觀看，也持續參與生活的發生。
The wife’s workspace is elevated, becoming both a visual and emotional focal point within the home.From here, sightlines extend into the shared spaces allowing her to stay connected to everyday family life while remaining focused.The raised platform offers a sense of independence without disconnection, creating a balance between separation and continuity.Within the “home as a city” framework, it acts as a vantage point—overlooking, yet still participating in daily life.

情感回饋｜這裡，不只是家而已
在家裡像城市裡互動，孩子有自己的世界，也始終看得見家人；父母各自專注，
卻從未真正離開彼此。從客廳的相遇、到樓梯間的觀看、再到窗戶與視線的連結，家的每一個角落，
都像城市裡的節點，承接著日常，也串起關係。於是那句簡單的提問，不再只是孩子的想像
At home, children have worlds of their own, yet never lose sight of their family; parents remain focused,
yet are never truly apart.From encounters in the living room, to moments of observation along the stairs,
to connections framed through windows and sightlines every corner of the home becomes a node, like in a city, holding daily life while weaving relationships together.
And so, that simple question becomes more than imagination:
「爸爸，明天在我的城市裡見。」
“Dad, see you in my city tomorrow.”
